4.07 Deputation

We are in our eleventh month of deputation and have seen mighty moves of God in each district. We’ve been privileged to meet many wonderful pastors and saints who have been a great blessing to the work in Ireland. Thanks to all of you who are helping us financially and prayerfully be able to return to Ireland.

While in the district of Canada one of the pastors, Rev. Scott Grant, called us to relay some wonderful news. The husband of one of the sisters in the church called Bro. Grant; he was about to take his own life. He discovered that the man’s wife had taken home a DVD of the Sunday night service that Bro. McFarland gave his testimony in. Bro. Grant asked the man to watch the DVD while he made his way over to the man’s home. Upon arriving the man met Bro. Grant at the door, with tears in his eyes he handed Bro. Grant his gun. What a blessing for God to use Bro. McFarland’s testimony to reach this man in his time of need. Throughout our deputation we have been honored with such praise reports. Praise the Lord!

Short update on our children: Shawna is in her second year of school pursuing a degree in Psychology. Ashley, after attending Because of the Times 07, felt the call to return to Ireland. Caleb wishes he were old enough to return to Ireland, but home school is the best we can do right now.

Returning

Our daughter Ashley McFarland (left) and our long-time AIMer Shawna Mansfield (right) are returning home to Ireland this summer.

On The Field

AIMers Rev. Matthew, Sharon & Angelina McFarland have been in Ireland now for one year. It’s been a blessing having them on the field.
